	Congrats to Brian Winkler – Our Chapter Member of the Year! A note from Brian:  To the SE MI Chapter of IFMA Golf Outing Committee Members:  My sincere thanks go out to all of you for the unexpected recognition as Outstanding Chapter Member at the Holiday Party last night as the Volunteers Chair for the annual Chapter Golf Outing. The assistance of Aubrey, the contagious positive attitude of Joanne, and the support of all golf outing committee members have played a significant role in the receipt of this award.  As Jackie Gleason used to say; ‘You’re the greatest!’

Scholarship News:

World Work Place 2011, Phoenix Arizona, Scholarship Award  Paul Gagel – VP SE Michigan Chapter

This year World Work Place was held at the PhoenixConvention Center.  The event brought in more than six thousand Facility Management professionals to network, meet vendors, attend classes and explore new ideas.

One of the highlights was the Scholarship Awards ceremony held at the Phoenix Sheraton.  I had the pleasure of representing the SE Michigan Chapter at this event and presenting the scholarship to our recipient. The recipient Allison M. Clark received a scholarship of $ 2,500.00 from our Chapter.  Allison is a student at Ferris State University.  She is working towards a double major, Facility Management and Construction Management.  To that she also has an Associates degree in Architecture.  Allison is an engaging professional that will surely succeed in all of her endeavors.
